Rob Marsh, President, Liberty Mutual Canada
Rob (he/him) is President of Liberty Mutual Canada, a branch of one of the world’s largest property & casualty insurers. He has been integral in championing a high-performing and people-first company culture while achieving market-leading financial results; supporting diversity, equity & inclusion; and contributing to Liberty’s environmental, social, and governance strategy. He is passionate about the insurance industry and is a strong advocate for attracting new talent into this socially responsible and rewarding sector.
Rob has been a community-builder for over twenty years. He is a founding Curator of Global Shapers, a World Economic Forum initiative, and is founder and past-President of S-drive, a federally incorporated non-profit dedicated to the personal and professional development of young professionals through networking, philanthropy, and community engagement. Rob has an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University. He continues to give back to his alma mater in similar ways to the support he received as a D&R Sobey Atlantic Scholar, and as a previous convocation keynote speaker.
Rob has been recognized as one of Canada’s “Top 40 Under 40” and one of Insurance Business Magazine’s “Global 100”. Outside of his work at Liberty, he is involved with a number of boards, advisory groups, and non-profit initiatives.
Rob is proudly from Atlantic Canada. After living in Western Canada for a foundational part of his professional career, he now calls Toronto home, where he resides with his wife and three young sons.

Aiden Lanzon SVP, Quebec Regional Leader & National Practice Leader, Construction
Aiden Lanzon (he/him) is the Senior Vice President, Quebec Regional Leader and National Practice Leader, Construction. In this role, Aiden is responsible for our regional presence within Quebec, as well as the national underwriting strategy within for the Construction industry.
With more than a decade of underwriting experience within Quebec, Aiden understands the nuances and local needs of this unique marketplace. Since joining Liberty as a Casualty Team Leader in 2017, Aiden has expanded our presence within the region from a small market presence focused on underwriting a few lines of business, to growing into a full-service branch within the region and over $100M in GWP. Our success within Quebec can be attributed to the hard work of our regional team, Aiden’s commitment to creating the best place to work and his ability to attract, retain, and develop top talent within Quebec.
Aiden holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Finance from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University, as well as his CIP and CRM designations.

Cara Stebbings, SVP, Head of Financial & Professional Services (FPS)
Cara Stebbings (she/her) is the Senior Vice President, Head Financial & Professional Services (FPS) at Liberty Mutual Canada. In her expansive role, Cara supports the continued growth of our FPS presence through the national offering of best-in-class products and offerings to our customers.
Cara began her career at Liberty in 2005, and over the last 20 years has progressed her career to increasingly senior positions. She credits her career to taking advantage of all development opportunities within the organization and has been selected to participate in various global training programs at Liberty. In addition to overseeing the successful growth of the FPS products suite, Cara was recognized alongside her colleague for actively seeking ways to improve an underwriter’s experience and was awarded the Liberty Mutual President’s Award.
Cara is an active member of the BC insurance community, and helped establish a women’s insurance networking group, Women in Insurance that Lead (WIL), with the focus of developing leadership skills and supporting systemic change within the wider insurance industry.

Chris Corbeil, Senior Vice President, Chief Risk Officer
Chris Corbeil (he/him) is the Head of Business Alignment and Chief Risk Officer.
In this wide-ranging role, Chris’s responsibilities include the successful development and execution of corporate strategies, initiatives, and priorities. In addition, Chris is responsible for Liberty Mutual Canada’s Reinsurance function as well as our Program & MGA business. Chris also serves as Chief of Staff to Liberty Mutual Canada President, Rob Marsh.
Chris is a seasoned insurance leader with experience underwriting and developing products for both Canadian and multinational insurers. Throughout his time at Liberty, Chris’s strategic mindset and ability to challenge the status quo has helped the organization achieve significant success.
Chris is keenly focused on “making things better,” whether for customers, business partners, or employees. Chris believes that to operate at the highest level, it is crucial for the organization to appropriately recognize and leverage the talent, expertise, and perspective that exists within each of our functional areas, while driving collaboration and ensuring alignment on key business priorities.
In addition to a bachelor’s degree from the University of Calgary, Chris has earned several industry designations, including Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP), Canadian Risk Management (CRM), and Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB).

Chris MacLean, Head of Alternative Risk Solutions & Programs
Chris MacLean (he/him) is the Head of Alternative Risk Solutions & Programs at Liberty Mutual Canada. In this role, Chris leads the strategy and execution for alternative risk solutions and program offerings, ensuring operational excellence and growth in these areas.
Chris joined Liberty Mutual in 2015 as Assistant Vice President, Finance & Controller, where he contributed to the company’s financial leadership and operational controls. Prior to joining Liberty Mutual, Chris worked within consulting.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) with relevant industry licenses and certifications. He is committed to fostering professional development and building strong teams that deliver value to clients and the business. Currently, also Chris serves as the Executive Sponsor of our Social Responsibility Committee.

Geoffrey Dusseldorp SVP, Western Canada Regional Leader & National Practice Leader, Energy & Renewables
Geoff Dusseldorp (he/him) is the Senior Vice President, Western Canada Regional Leader & National Practice Leader, Energy & Renewables. In this role, Geoff is responsible for our region underwriting presence across Western Canada, which includes Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, and the Northern Canadian territories. Additionally, in his National Practice Lead role, he is responsible for the national underwriting strategy for clients within the Energy & Renewables industry, including Power, Mining, and related businesses.
With more than 15 years of underwriting experience, Geoff has spent over a decade leading teams in western Canada. He joined Liberty as a Casualty Team Leader at our Calgary office in 2013, before assuming responsibility for the entire branch operation, including both commercial and specialty lines, in 2016. Most recently, Geoff was tasked with leading both our Calgary and Vancouver offices across commercial property and casualty and specialty lines of business underwritten across Western Canada. Additionally, Geoff’s extensive underwriting experience with energy clients has equipped him with the necessary skills to lead our energy & renewables book of business at the national level, focused on engaging and partnering with top clients.
Geoff holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Queen’s University, as well as CIP and CRM designations.

Haseeb Jalal, Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Haseeb Jalal (he/him) is the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Liberty Mutual Canada. In this critical leadership role, he is responsible for driving the company’s financial strategy and ensuring robust financial health to support sustained business growth and profitability. One of his core responsibilities is to enhance business reporting and analysis, providing insightful data that enables informed decision-making and strategic adjustments to capitalize on market opportunities. As CFO, Haseeb oversees all aspects of financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management. He leads the development and execution of capital management strategies to optimize the company’s capital structure, liquidity, and investment portfolio, ensuring that Liberty Mutual Canada maintains financial strength. He also ensures compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and corporate governance standards to safeguard the company’s reputation and operational integrity. His role also encompasses managing relationships with key stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and clients.
A passionate people leader, Haseeb believes that the company’s greatest asset is its people. He is dedicated to fostering a motivated and engaged workforce by supporting career development, promoting collaboration, and building a high-performance culture. He actively seeks opportunities to enhance employee engagement and create a supportive environment where talent thrives, recognizing that investing in people is fundamental to Liberty Mutual Canada’s ongoing success. With over 15 years of experience in finance, including more than a decade in the insurance industry, Haseeb brings extensive expertise in finance operations, process improvements, and strategic financial leadership. He holds a CPA, CA designation and is a Certified Chartered Accountant.

Jessica Seppi, Senior Vice President, Chief Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer
Jessica Seppi (she/her) has more than 20 years of insurance industry experience with a varied background, including claims, underwriting, in-house legal, compliance and regulatory work. Jessica’s role at Liberty Mutual Canada as Senior Vice President, Chief Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer involves providing legal support and advice, compliance oversight as well as strategic advice to all of the underwriting groups, senior management and other corporate departments.

Leanne Desai, Senior Vice President, Head of Claims
Leanne Desai (she/her) is the Senior Vice President, Head of Claims at Liberty Mutual Canada. With nearly 30 years of insurance experience, including over 25 years spent leading high-performing claims teams, Leanne brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and leadership to the role. Under her guidance, claims professionals are empowered to make decisions and encouraged to develop creative solutions to complex claim issues. Local authority and close collaboration with underwriting partners enable the claims team to proactively manage claims with a consistent focus on delivering on our claims promise.
Leanne is a strong advocate for a customer-centric approach, placing great value on the relationships built with clients and partners. In addition to leading the claims function, she also serves as the executive sponsor of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee at Liberty Mutual Canada. In this role, she supports a passionate group of individuals committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace.
A graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University with a degree in Political Science, Leanne also holds the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation. She is deeply passionate about coaching and mentoring, with a particular focus on supporting and advancing Women in Leadership across the industry. Leanne is also the Executive Sponsor of our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.

Rebecca O’Connor, Senior Vice President, Regional Leader, Ontario & Atlantic
Rebecca O’Connor (she/her) is the Senior Vice President, Regional Leader, Ontario & Atlantic at Liberty Mutual Canada. Since joining the company in 2000 as an Intermediate Underwriter, Rebecca has taken on progressively senior roles and now leads a team of 22 underwriters, including four managers, overseeing a GWP portfolio across Property, Casualty, Umbrella, Excess Liability, U.S. Workers’ Compensation, and package solutions.
Recognized for her leadership and impact in the industry, Rebecca was named one of Insurance Business Canada’s Elite Women in 2022. She is an active member of Liberty’s Senior Leadership Team and a committed champion of corporate culture, employee engagement, and inclusion. She served as the Executive Sponsor of the Employee Engagement Committee and was a tri-chair of Liberty’s first Women and Allies Network in Canada. She was also a contributor to the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee, supporting initiatives ranging from educational programming to sponsorship and community partnerships.
Beyond her corporate role, Rebecca is deeply engaged in the insurance and nonprofit community. She currently serves as Vice-President of the Board for Empowerment Squared and has held multiple leadership roles with the Property Casualty Underwriters Club (PCUC), including President. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from McMaster University, the FCIP designation from the Insurance Institute, and additional certifications in governance and risk management.

Ryan Benson, Vice President, Head of Technology
Ryan Benson (he/him) is an accomplished global IT leader with a diverse background in industries such as insurance, technology, human resources, and real estate. He brings extensive experience in IT operations, service desk management, ITIL, security, compliance, cloud computing, service delivery, project management, software development and artificial intelligence. Ryan has a proven track record of implementing innovative enterprise cloud systems that enhance user productivity while reducing costs.
In his current role as Vice President and Head of Technology at Liberty Mutual Canada, Ryan leads the company’s digital transformation and technological evolution. He focuses on improving customer experience, enhancing employee engagement, and optimizing operating expenses. Reporting to both the GRS North America CIO and the Canadian President, serving on the Senior Leadership Team, Ryan drives technology initiatives aligned with the long-term business strategy, spearheading the Canadian digital transformation efforts and prioritizing customer experience, innovation and operational optimization by adopting a reuse-first strategy of Global Risk Solutions technology assets while also acting as an innovation hub for the larger Liberty. Ryan is also the Executive Sponsor of our Employee Engagement Committee.

Ryan Ho Senior Vice President, Chief Actuary
Ryan Ho (he/him) is the Senior Vice President, Chief Actuary at Liberty Mutual Canada. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society, and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He leads the Actuarial Function at Liberty Mutual Canada and oversees all actuarial related initiatives including pricing, reserving, and capital management. He collaborates across different functions including Underwriting, Finance, Claims, and others to develop and execute business strategies.
Ryan truly believes in providing insights to stakeholders through data to enable better decision making. He uses an innovative and continuous improvement mindset to achieve aspiring enterprise-wide objectives in a sustainable manner.

Steven Hastings, Senior Vice President, Surety
As Head of the Canadian Surety Team, Steven (he/him) has worked tirelessly in developing a culture that prioritizes customer service and the ability to find solutions while producing exceptional results. He has successfully built a truly National Surety practice, which comprises business partners and stakeholders from coast to coast. Steven relies on over 28 years of industry experience, a strong leadership team and the vast array of knowledge and resources of Liberty’s Global Surety Group to be a Canadian market leader.
Steven is proud to represent Liberty on the Surety Association of Canada (SAC) Board of Directors and as a Corporate Partner with the Canadian Construction Association (CCA).
While based in Liberty’s Toronto office, Steven currently resides in Stouffville, Ontario with his wife Julie, son Ryan and daughter Claire.

Todd Armstrong, Chief Underwriting Officer
Todd Armstrong (he/him) is the Chief Underwriting Officer at Liberty Mutual Canada. In his current role, Todd is responsible for strategic guidance and managerial direction of the Liberty Mutual Canada Office of Underwriting and Risk Services team. Over the past 16 years at Liberty Mutual Canada, he has played a key role in the growth and success of our Canadian organization, expanding his leadership footprint and building strong relationships in the industry.
Todd firmly believes that cross-functional collaboration and a solutions-oriented culture drive best-in-class outcomes for our customers. Todd enjoys working as both a mentor and coach, recognizing the importance of these roles in fostering engaged and diverse talent within Liberty Mutual Canada.
Todd is a graduate of Ivey Business School at Western University and lives with his spouse, son and daughter in the greater Toronto area. He brings a unique perspective to his role, with nearly 30 years of diverse leadership experience across commercial and specialty underwriting, claims, risks services and operations.
